Vikings series is a historical drama series which is created and written by Michael Hirst for the History Channel. It was filmed in Ireland and was premiered in the month of March 3rd, 2013 and in Canada, in the month of January 2019, 20 episodes sixth season was announced which was announced in the month of September 2017 which was ahead of its premiere of the fifth season which would be the final season of the series. The sixth season premiered on December 4th, 2019.
Vikings series is inspired by the sagas of Viking Ragnar lothbrok who is known as one of the best legendary Norse heroes and notorious as the scourge of England and France. The series portrays Ragnar as a farmer who rises to fame by successful raids into the city of England and became a Scandinavian king with the support of his family and fellow warriors. In the later seasons, the series follows the fortunes of his sons and adventures in England, Scandinavia, and the Mediterranean.
PLOT OF THE SERIES
The series plot is inspired by tales of Norsemen of early medieval Scandinavia. Series broadly follows the exploits of legendary Viking chieftain Ragnar Lothbrok and his crew, family, and descendants and notably laid down in the 13th-century sagas of raganars sagas. Norsemen legendary sagas are considered to be a partially fictional tale which is based on Norse oral tradition which is written down about 200 to 400 years ago after the events that are described. The inspiration is also taken from the historical sources of the period such as a record of the Vikings raid on Lindisfarne which is depicted in the series the second season. The series begins at the start of the Viking’s age which is marked by the Lindisfarne raid in 793.

VIKINGS SEASON-6 PART 2 RELEASE DATE
Vikings season 6 is divided into 20 episodes and two parts. The part-1 of the season-6 premiered on December 4 2019 and continued till February 5th, 2020. Firstly the part-2 was to be premiered in the month of October 2020 but due to the pandemic, it resulted in a delay in the production. There is no confirmation of when the season-6 part -2 will premiere.

EXPECTED PLOT OF VIKINGS SEASON-6 PART 2
Episode 10 of the Vikings season-6 showed Ivan stabbing Bjorn and left him dead on the floor. Herald along with Bjorn was considered to be gone. On the other hand, torvi and ubbe were in Iceland searching for floki. For episode 11, it is not much known for season-6 part-2. In part-2 some critical questions will be answered for viewers and the fate of floki will be known to the viewers. Part-2 will also reveal the king for the throne of Kattegat.

Vikings season-6 narrates the saga of Vikings who is Ragnar’s brother. The series story revolves around the family as ragnars who rise to be king of the tribe. SEASON-6 EPISODE 1 PART-1
In episode 1 of Vikings, season-6 part-1 depicts Ivan and his bodyguard traveling through the silk road. As they both enter the Kievan Rus, they are captured by men loyal to prince Oleg the prophet. After torturing grid, Oleg finds out Ivar’s full story and takes interest in the exiled king. They both form an uneasy friendship when Oleg reveals how he murdered his unfaithful wife. Oleg discloses to Ivar that he plans to reclaim the land of rus people which is ancestral lands in Scandinavian and invites Ivar to join him in this. In Kattegat, Bjorn outlaws white hair and Ivar’s remaining retainers. Lagertha announces her plan of retiring and rebuilding her old farm and wants to live the rest of her life in a state of obscurity and peace. Messengers arrive and tell Bjorn that king Oleg has occupied King Harald’s kingdom and has held him captive. King herald has saved Bjorn’s life twice, so he is asking for his help in reclaiming his freedom and lands.
REVIEWS OF THE SERIES
The first episode of the series received favorable reviews with a rating of 71%. The Vikings series relies on the inherent appeal of the era and characters in it for driving the story ahead. It has natural, authentic settings, costumes and is appreciated that the Vikings series is a celebration of the study of character, stamina, power of social, emotional, and intellectual awakening. It includes compelling and robust new drama. All this has managed to attract the audience and made the series popular around the world.
