Hello Friends, In this article we are going to discuss here about Kisan Man Dhan Yojana in detail.

Farmers undergo many problems throughout their life including the financial crisis, which becomes harder in their adulthood .

To assist farmers to affect all such problems in their adulthood, the Modi Government has launched a pension scheme referred to as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana in August 2019. Under this government scheme, farmers between 18 – 40 years aged can register and take a monthly pension of Rs. 3000.


Till now, 20, 501, 29 farmers have registered under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. The pension scheme is for the adulthood protection also as Social Security of small and marginal farmers having 2 hectares of land.


Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, farmers will get a pension of Rs. 3000 per month after completing the age of 60 years and if they die then their spouse is going to be entitled to receive 50% of the pension.

The Government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan DhanYojana on 12.9.2019 with a view to supplying Social Security to Small and Marginal Farmers in their adulthood if they haven’t any means of livelihood.


Benefits

Under this scheme, a minimum fixed pension of Rs.3,000/- is provided to the tiny and marginal farmers, subject to certain exclusion criteria, on attaining the age of 60 years. it’s a voluntary and contributory pension scheme.

The eligible farmer is required to contribute to a Pension Fund between Rs.55 to Rs.200 per month counting on the entry age. The Central Government also contributes in equal amount.

Eligibility


Small and Marginal Farmer (SMF) – a farmer who owns cultivable land up to 2 hectares as per land records of the concerned State/UT.


Age of 18- 40 years

Farmers who aren’t eligible for the scheme:


The following categories of farmers are brought under the exclusion criteria:


SMFs covered under the other statuary Social Security schemes like’ State Insurance Corporation scheme, Employees’ Fund Organization Scheme, etc.

Farmers who have opted for Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana administered by the Ministry of Labour & Employment

Farmers who have opted for Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Maan-Dhan Yojana administered by the Ministry of Labour & Employment

Further, the subsequent categories of beneficiaries of upper economic status shall not be eligible for benefits under the scheme


All Institutional Landholders

Former and present holders of constitutional posts

Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and

Rormer/present Members of Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.

All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ government Ministries/ Offices/Departments and their field units, Central or State PSEs, and Attached offices/ Autonomous Institutions under Government also as regular employees.

All Persons who paid tax in the last assessment year.
Doctors, Chartered Accountants, and designers registered with Professional bodies.


How to apply?


The enrollment to the Scheme is often done through self-registration online or through the Common Service Centres in various states. The enrollment is freed from cost.

Farmers can visit their nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs) for registration. The Common Service Centres will charge Rs.30/- per enrolment which can be borne by the govt.
